Thanks goes to Old Whigiftians who came forward at the last minute to provide some meaningful opposition after our league game was cancelled.
With a huge squad to choose from fatigue was never going to be a problem apart from the front row, more of that later. Playing up the slope Captain Connie led his charges from the front. Paul Gabb went over in the corner and the show was on the road, more from Wes and Johnny Wharton, capping a momentous week after the birth of his daughter last week. With that score the game was in the bag. At half time and with a total change of personnel in the backs we took a while to settle, the loss of Nick didn’t help and we wish him a speedy recovery, Sam Mills, Lawrence and Man of the Match Ryan sealed our final score. Credit must also go to Old Whits who competed and put up a spirited performance.
Moment of the game Johnny W and Martin lining up in the Centre position, looks like they want to have a break from the coalface.
Thoughts from the touchline, guys you can play better but you have to want it, train and work together as a unit, it’s your choice.
