Chobham RFC Under 15’s B – 19 Chipstead RFC Under 15’s B 36

Chips came out the blocks as they have before and beat the previous try record of 4mins by a forward by a back (STEVE L) within 1min.....well done Steve, forwards you need to be quicker!!!

We didn`t let what happen at Esher happen again and let them come back at us.

Great tackles by Felix, Steve L and Jack kept Chobham at bay.

At about 12mins our fly half (who is coming back from injury) stepped up to the mark, and ran in a great try (next time make it a bit mort difficult for Jack!!).......oop`s you did!!!

some great tackles especially by Felix and at at 15mins a kick followed up by him (twice kicked on) resulted in a fantastic try!!!!

Then at 22mins Owain got the ball again and with all of us on the touchline shouting pass it out he didn`t and ran in (what do we know!!!)

Credit of the guys they held their line and didn`t let Chobham comer back like Esher (Captain Jack made sure of that)

Owain was there anything really wrong with your leg!!!!>>>>>at 22mins he stepped off again and put one down in the corner....(Owain.....did you and Jack have a bet about who could score the most points!!!... easy kick for the conversion!!!!!!!)

Chobham never gave up, and with some great runs, especially their numbers 8 and 12 they always looked dangerous and at 28mins they ran in a try.

We told Toby that whatever else he had to do just put himself about and just go for it.......and he did good on you.

24 - 5 at the break

We knew that going down the hill was always going to produce points ......and it did Chobham came out right for it an ran in two trys within 5mins, Chobham then went down to 14 with an injury, but too their credit they never gave up, their commitment was there, and we knew we were up against it and they ran in a try 24 - 12, they had their heads up now and the pressure was on, 2mins later they ran another one in and it was 24 - 19

Great pressure by Chobham, even when they were down to 14, Chips knew they were up against it

Again straight from the kick off Chobham came back, but we have learn`t and with some great defence held the line, and from that Owain ran in a great try Got to say that RIGHT ON THE TOUCH LINE!!!, boy Jack your bet wit Owain must have been a good one!!!unlucky mate good attempt 29 - 19

Our man of the match was well desevred, he went on knowing that the game plan was for him to run at them, and he did, unluckily he got binned at the end of the first half, but that did`nt put him off and coming back on he put in some great tackles and runs, and at 6mins from the end and 10m out he run a try in under the posts!!....Jack easy conversion that one!!!!

Chobham then gave their own tribute and made Owain their man of the match for the oppostion.

A great all round game, played in the best of spirits, and well matched teams

I`ve got to say that we had a lot of poor decisions, and even though we had penalties given against us, we held it together even when it was going against us, well done for that. Great Disipline well done!!!

21 guys today and everyone was up for it, that`s what its about......we also had two new guys play for the first time today, Hanif and Will, you both gave what was needed, well done guys, always difficult to come in.

Guys, the only issue and its been consistant is we are getting driven off the ball at the rucks, get that out our game and we will be very hard to beat.
