Nigel Rawlins
It doesn't take long for Nigel to make an impact. An IT veteran of 30 years, gardening has given him a chance to build a new type of business in what is a very traditional marketplace.
Professionalism to a tee, great creativity and never without a smile. A wily raconteur who has been propping up the bar at Chipstead Rugby Club since 1982. In his heyday a surprising turn of pace with a rugby ball considering his stature. Interesting fact about Nigel : He has at least 10 bikes in his garage and only rides once a year!
Tom Howells
Born and raised in Banstead, I am a graduate in Geography from the University of Liverpool. I have a passion for the outdoors, especially all things that grow. At university, I volunteered at the student union’s rooftop garden, partook in a beekeeping course and spent my summers gardening locally. Furthermore, I have previously worked at Woodcote Green Garden Centre. Currently working full-time at St Helier hospital, the opportunity to work part-time with Chipstead Gardening Services is an enjoyable way to spend my weekends. In my spare time I am studying for the RHS Level 2 qualification online through distance learning. I also play rugby for Chipstead and enjoy the social aspect of working for CGS. Interesting fact about Tom : He is passionate about Welsh Rugby

Gary Strudwick
Gary worked for 25 years at Redhill & Reigate Golf Course where he was the head green keeper. Sadly, the business became unviable and the course closed down in 2020. Gary brings a wealth of knowledge with him. He is highly qualified and always gets the job done ! Interesting fact about Gary : He does not play golf!
Danny Hughes
A qualified tree surgeon for the past 15 years, Danny is the one climbing those trees. He is a true asset to the growing Chipstead Garden Services team.

Luke Beattie
Luke joined us in the summer of 2021 as an extra pair of hands. Having showed enthusiasm and aptitude for the business, he is now our first apprentice! He is enrolled in Capel Manor College in January 2022 and is based at the Regents Park Campus. He spends 20% of his time studying and attending training events and the rest of the time on the job training and grafting! A keen member of Chipstead RFC 1st XV, he continues the link with the local area.
Great communication and work completed swiftly

I cannot compliment Nigel of Chipstead Garden Services enough. I was absolutely delighted with his work, which more than exceeded my expectations. Nothing seemed too much trouble, always pleasant, fantastic attention to detail, genuine pride in his work, and really going out of his way to make sure the customer is happy with every detail of the outcome... it was all just brilliant and he was a pleasure to deal with. He clearly has a lot of passion for his work, which is always so nice to see in anyone. I recommend him strongly, no hesitation, as long as he still has enough time left to come back here in the spring ;)

What a lovely guy. Nigel has transformed both my mum's and my garden. Works really hard whilst on site and is super efficient and tidy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great gardener.
